  We have spent a lot of time to create your account in a very organized, and flexible arrangement to give you the most control possible, in an easy to use environment. The following documents will explain how we've set everything up, and offer tips on how to best administrate your site.

Getting Online

• An FTP account has been setup for you to access/update your site. A username and password should have been assigned to you when your account was established. You can logon with an FTP Client to:
  • Virtual Accounts use your domain name or IP number

  For Microsoft Windows we recommend WS Ftp.
  And For Macintosh we recommend Fetch available at many Mac ftp sites including:
  

  • Internet Software For The Macintosh
  • Mac Internet Software

  You can find basic FTP configuration instructions here.

Important Information

• Here are some important notes for uploading/maintaining your site.
  • The ftp server will reject any files starting with a minus ("-") character.
  • The ftp server will also reject any of the following characters:
  • ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _

How to access your site through a web browser. Your site is being served by the Apache Server for non-secure, and Apache with mod_ssl for secure access. You may access your site via the following URLs:

Your Homepage:

• http://www.yourdomain.xxx/ for virtual accounts
  

CGI-BIN directory:

• http://www.yourdomain.xxx/cgi-bin/ for virtual accounts

Console directory:

• http://www.yourdomain.xxx/console for console access

Secure Server:

Please note: If you need secure server access, please send an e-mail to help@webstorage.com. Put your domain name in the Subject and specify that you need secure server access.
